The velocity was unrealistic at some domain edges but the model eventually blew up at longer run times.

Thanks for the message. Like the error said, it can’t find the file. So my first guess is that the path pointing to the file is incorrect or not updated in the make settings file. I know my answer is general because I don’t know your configuration, but it should give you a hint in solving it.

libasan is a library located in lib /LIB, r u using Mac? o linux?, this example works fine if you compile the code using the same software, like gfortran-7, gcc-7,n-c, all loaded on the ubuntu 20.04 version repository. Ubuntu 22 LTS use a different kernel, and different repository, if you install gfortran will install g-fortran 11 with is incompatible with the lib, etc...so make sure u r using the same software and the same ROMS revision 1052. For revision 11, g-fortran 7 did not work with the files .ylm, so you need to update to g-11 or compile with ifort, and more and more details....If you wanna run the code easily, install ubuntu 18 LTS and download the revision 1052.

It is about how to install COAWST in Centos 7, COAWST is a numerical model which uses ROMS so the complementary software is the same, so I could install ROMS on Centos 7 by following that tutorial. Just in case someone else is sticky in that part.

You can download it manually from any github page that has a SWC file. An SWC file is the swirl course file. Try googling for some sample lessons.

@@YusriYusup Hi thanks but on the repository on swirl there are folders and no SWC files, folders titled "data analysis etc I just can seem to know what to do with them?

@@YusriYusup For example the course R programming E is already installed on swirl so I can easily run it. But the folders for that course on the link you sent contain "customTest.R" and "lesson.yaml"

Thanks for the message but I don’t have experience working with radiosonde data. You could try to use multivariable linear regression fitting on the data and get the coefficients from the results because the regression would provide those constants.

I don’t know from the top of my head because I don’t memorize the functions, but the specific functions to calculate them should be built in MATLAB.

Thanks for the video suggestion but I’m not sure when I will get around to creating one. However, you can try to use an if statement in the function to search for these values, but you would need to use a for loop too. Not the most efficient code but it works.

If you r using UBUNTU 18 LTS, should have the same package library! Under 20.04 (20.02 IS THE SAME AS 18)the kernel was updated and the package library r not the same. If you wanna run the same example, use Fortran and netcdf 7, both under ubuntu 18 LTS!

The svn command is repetitive, but it won’t disrupt the general flow of installation. So, we felt that there is no harm in just leaving it in. At most, you just have to delete the additional folder.

I think the ROMS developer changed the default varinfo file type to yaml. You can try to simply replace the dat file with the yaml file.

@@ranjankumarsahu998 HI! If after running the example you have a memory leak ERROR, you have to update your gcc, gcc7 did not work ok with .yaml files.

Just place the files into the new folders and open a new project in there.

I don’t quite understand your question, but if you have an existing folder, you can rearrange the contents into the new folder and create a project in the new folder.

I am not sure but sometimes roms will create an additional cell for the border. You can check for those.

@@YusriYusup Ahh, thanks.. but in the second b. The b in which the y intercept is not zero. Why is this value thw y intercept, 1.427120171726537? While this value, 0.000001256394274 is the slope? I'm still trying to figure that and the purpose of the ones vector?

Nope, it can only be installed on Linux. You can also use the Windows Subsystem for Linux to run it.
